Like the error says, you are missing pronunciation information for the word "ZYDECO" in your pronunciation dictionary.

Did you make a mistake when you downloaded  voxforge_lexicon.txt fro mthe voxforge site?  does the word ZYDECO have a pronunciation entry like this?:

ZYDECO [ZYDECO] z ay d eh k ow

try downloading it again.

YOu need to make sure there are no invisible characters in your pronounciation dictionary (see this FAQ for more info: Windows/Linux/Mac text file line-ending issues)

Hey, 

Im having the same problem, its happening at stage 10 and its followed by : 

"  ERROR [+1413]  ReadNextWord: ReadDictWord failed

 FATAL ERROR - Terminating program C:\cygwin\HTK\htk\HDMan.exe

making hmm13". I am using your windows tutorial and I tried converting the Lexicon file to unix 

I also noticed a warning asking for a voxforge_lexicon.ded If that helps in anyway.

I got the same problem. I opened up the text file voxforge_lexicon and scrolled down to the bottom of the file where zydco was and hit enter and that seemed to cure the problem. However, I get another error that I am trying to fix right now. :( 

ERROR [+2662]  FindProtoModel: no proto for b in hSet

 FATAL ERROR - Terminating program HHEd

Actually, you need to add a new blank line at the end of the dictionary. And then no error happens.
