VoxForge
First of all excuse my poor English and my ignorance on this world.
I am looking information for some Acoustic Model in Spanish language that works with sphinx2, for example.
Is there any work done?
Where can i find information about this? How can i contribute in this?
It is hard (time and knowledge) to achieve it?
Thank you very much.
Gonzalo.
Hi Gonzalo,
>Acoustic Model in Spanish language that works with sphinx2
The only Spanish acoustic models for Sphinx that I know of are from this project: The Automatic Speech Recognition for Spanish Language Project
I am not sure if these work with Sphinx2...
>How can i contribute in this?
One way would be to donate your speech to VoxForge.
Thanks to Mauricio, I've now got the translations I need to update the VoxForge speech submission application to collect Spanish speech...it will be up and working soon.
Ken
Ken is on holiday, but is updating the Java-applets.
See here.
Ken
great!!!, thanks Ken...
PS: some sentences are kind missorganized from the original text, it is important?
Hi buhochilen,
>some sentences are kind missorganized from the original text, it is
>important?
From a speech recognition perspective, at this point, the most important is getting good variety of words, it does not really matter that they are jumbled up ...
From a "getting users to submit speech" perspective, the less confusing the better.
So... if the majority of the prompts are OK, then we will leave it as is. But if there is too much jumbling, I can correct it in release 0.1.5.
Regardless, please send me the corrections so I can at least get them in for release 0.1.6.
In addition, are you interested in doing some more translations? If yes, then I can set you up so can fix the tranlations (if requried...) on these pages:
thanks,
Ken
Hi:
ok, no prob, I can find some time to make the traslation and I also going to send you some fix about the sentences..
bye.
Mauricio
Hi Mauricio,
> I can find some time to make the traslation
Great, thanks!
You now have the permissions needed to edit these pages:
Editing content with WebGUIThe main thing to remember when editing content, is that WebGUI creates a "version tag" (the default is your username and current date). To publish your changes so that everyone can see them, you need to "commit" your version tag.
To edit content you need to be in "admin" mode (click "admin" on top right hand corner of page). A new admin menu appears on the left hand side of your web page. To commit content click the "Version Tags" tab in the admin menu, select "commit my version" - if you click this, then the content you edited under your currently selected version will be visible to everyone. No content changes are visible until you commit the version tag!If you log out and log back in without committing changes you made in a previous session, you need to select your version tag (that you started in your previous session) to make it active. If you don't, then WebGUI will automatically create a new version tag... this can get confusing, because your previous edits will still be "locked" under your old version tag.
The commit process is useful because you can edit multiple web pages as a single version tag, and publish them all at once with a single commit.
WebGUI has a good tutorial (WebGUI-Primer.pdf) and also a sandbox (http://demo.plainblack.com).
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks again for all your help,
Ken
