That means that you made a mistake in installation. I suggest you to start with clear sheet and follow the tutorial once again carefully trying all required commands:

I'm again starting from first.I'm using

1)fedora8,

2)an4_sphere.tar.gz,

3)SphinxTrain.nightly.tar.gz,

4)sphinxbase.nightly.tar.gz

and 5) sphinx3-0.8.tar.gz.

Will it be fine???

Do i have to edit the file etc/sphinx_train.cfg.and change to,its given in tutorial to change it so that it looks like below

#$CFG_HMM_TYPE = '.cont.'; # Sphinx III
$CFG_HMM_TYPE = '.semi.'; # Sphinx II

but I'm confused whether I'hv to do it or not as I'm using Sphinx3-0.8..my etc/sphinx_train.cfg file has

$CFG_HMM_TYPE = '.cont.'; # Sphinx III
#$CFG_HMM_TYPE = '.semi.'; # Sphinx II

If I' hv to change then which one the one in an4 directory or sphinxtrain directory.
