Hello,

I'm a HTK user for quite sometime.

When I tried to train a GMM with single state and 512 mixture component I get the following error. I have used 1 hour of training data in the feature list.

ERROR [+7031] CheckStream: proto_1s_512m: Mix weights sum 1.024000e+00 for s=1, j=2
ERROR [+7031] LoadHMMSet: Invalid HMM data
ERROR [+2128] Initialise: LoadHMMSet failed
FATAL ERROR - Terminating program HInit

I'm plain clueless about how to rectify it. Can anyone of you help in this regard?

It's because you have too much data. Try to reduce the train set size and see whether it helps. If yes, use -p option of HERest to distribute your training.
