I read about using adinrec for trying out how Julius might be getting the audio. When i try to use adinrec as
:~$ adinrec -input pulseaudio -nostrip trying
i get
STAT: ###### initialize input device
STAT: AD-in thread created
<<< please speak >>>
It waits here doing nothing. And i can see that the mic is working for this program by looking at the volumecontrol window under "recording"
If the nostrip flag is removed i get continuously:

Warning: strip: sample 0-255 is invalid, stripped

Warning: strip: sample 0-255 is invalid, stripped

Warning: strip: sample 0-255 is invalid, stripped

If i use audacity it can record the voice. How do i get it to work with adinrec and subsequently Julius?
