VoxForge
Hi,
Are there stats for the number of samples for a particular dialect? Is there a way to download all samples for a particular dialect?
I am interested in acoustic model training and/or adaptation for South African English specifically with Sphinx, and would like to get some sense of how useful the Voxforge data may be for this purpose.

Hello
You can download everything and select what you want. FYI, there were only 30 speakers of Southern English a month ago in Voxforge English DB and it was almost single speaker:

Another approach might be to search the English submission page for "South African", and download each link manually (there are only about 30-40 submisssions).
