The audio files that I recorded with Ubuntu are a bit louder and a bit noisier than the audio files recorded under Windows XP.  It is the same noise canceling headset and the same on board audio sound, because it is one computer with two different operating systems (Ubuntu and Windows XP). Interesting ... I've got a dual booted computer too (FC4 & WinXP) - I've never really noticed a difference one way or another, but I have never really tried to compare them.

Anyone else notice similar differences?
