please suggest me the method to introduce skip in HMM definition. I read the HTK book but couldn't get

Which attribute in HMM structure in the HTK specifies the skips.?

Look at the TransP structure in http://www.ee.columbia.edu/ln/LabROSA/doc/HTKBook21/node95.html you need a non zero number in the top right of the matrix.
