Hi,

The HTK book states the following with respect to your error:

+7321 Unknown model
      Model in HMM List not found in HMMSet, check that the correct HMM List is being used.

It seems like your fulllist file (which is used to create the tiedlist file used by your HERest command) contains a label "d+ay" that does not exist in your hmm file.  Try removing it from your tiedlist file and running HERest again to see what happens...

Have you changed your fulllist file from what was created in Step 10?

It tells you to create a fille called maketriphone.ded, in singular, but the command to be executed in terminal is maketriphones.ded, plural
